Case 04 · Workforce & payroll

Reliable Attendance-to-Payroll Integration at Workforce Scale

A multi-site business with roughly 300 hourly employees needed approved time and leave to reach payroll reliably, without manual transfers or month-end firefighting. I mapped HR policy with the team, then built a one-way integration that adds what payroll is missing without ever overwriting the payroll team's corrections, and sends suspect data to HR with a clear reason. After HR sign-off, the first monthly run delivered about 5,500 shifts into payroll.

Case 04 cover: Attendance to payroll, reliably. About 5,500 shifts in the first monthly run. Time and leave, policy checks, payroll.

The big picture

Payroll stays in control

The integration adds, never overwrites.

Policy first

HR rules agreed before anything was automated.

Exceptions surface early

Suspect data goes to HR with a clear reason.

How the system fits together

Case 04 system map: Adds to payroll, never overwrites. Every run: approved time and leave, HR policy rules, payroll. Safeguards: adds only what is missing, payroll corrections preserved, exceptions go to HR.
